How do I apply for a position?
Once you have explored the careers site and found your dream job, click on the job title to learn about the position in detail. To apply, simply click ‘Apply for Job’. Here you will be prompted to enter your email address and name. You will then be directed through to the job application login screen.
If this is the first time you have applied for a job with us, you will be asked to register your account. We suggest using your email address as your username.
If you have applied for a role with us in the past, please login with your current username and password. If you have forgotten either of these, you can select ‘Forgot your user name?’ or ‘Forgot your password?’ to retrieve this information.
Will I receive a response to my job application?
If you are successful in proceeding to the shortlist stage of our recruitment process, one of our recruitment team members will be in touch to discuss next steps and organise an interview.
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, there may be a delayed period of time until you are contacted. Please rest assured you can always log into our careers website to view the status of your submission and we will endeavour to be in contact with you as soon as possible.
All unsuccessful candidates will also receive an email updating them on their application in due course.
Can I apply for more than one role?
You sure can but don't forget to choose positions that match your skills, experience and career ambitions.
Can I register my details for future job opportunities if I cannot find a suitable job today?
Yes, you can join our Talent Pool by creating a general profile. If you register your interest we will retain your details in our database for a six (6) month period, and we will match them with any future roles that match your skill set.
Alternatively, you can sign up for Job Alerts on our careers site to be notified when a new role that matches your job preferences is advertised.
I’m no longer interested in receiving job notifications from the Talent Pool. How do I stop these emails?
No problem! Simply login to your Profile and select My Account Options on the top grey banner. Scroll down to Correspondence and select Edit. Here you can update your email notification options.
I’m no longer interested in receiving job alerts. How do I stop these emails?
Easy! Select ‘unsubscribe’ on the email you receive the job alert from.
I have forgotten my password. How can I access my account?
Go to your Profile and select the 'Forgot Your Password' link. You will be prompted to enter your username and email address. An email will then be sent to you with a link and an access code, which is required to change your password.
I have forgotten my user name. How can I access my account?
Go to your Profile and select the 'Forgot Your Username' link. You will be prompted to enter your email address which will automatically retrieve the username in our system.
Do I have to be a permanent resident or citizen to work for the Cotton On Group?
If you are not a permanent resident or citizen of the country in which you are applying to work, you will need to provide proof of your working rights (a clear colour copy of the photo page of your passport and visa documents). If you are successful through the interview process and your working rights have been confirmed, we would love to consider you for opportunities that are in line with the working conditions on your visa.
What is the minimum age to be considered for employment in store?
The minimum legal age differs between each country and state that our stores operate in. For further information please contact the relevant government body for the legislative requirement in your area.
Who has the ability to see my profile?
The Cotton On Group Global Talent team can view all candidates' profiles within our recruitment database. In addition, only those people who are directly involved in your recruitment process will have access to view your profile.
How long will the recruitment process take before a decision is made?
The time the recruitment process takes can vary from one position to the next. We will try to keep you as informed as possible at all stages of the process.

How can I prepare for my interview?
The questions we ask in interviews will be specific to the position you have applied for. Be prepared for questions which ask you to explain your functional and technical skills.
We also use behavioural interviewing questions where you will be asked to provide examples of how you have demonstrated competencies in your previous roles that relate to the advertised position. When answering these questions make sure you talk about a specific situation. Start by describing the task that you needed to complete, explain the action you took step-by-step, and then tell us the result or outcome of that situation.
Will I be expected to provide referees or to undergo any background checks?
Yes, as part of the selection process you will be asked to provide at least two referees who the recruitment team can contact by phone. It's preferable these referees currently are, or have recently been, your direct manager or supervisor. References will only be conducted by our recruitment team once you have given permission for your nominated referees to be contacted.
We will accept personal references if you have had no prior work experience.
Our recruitment process also includes an online background check where specifically relevant to the role. Further information regarding this process will be provided to successful candidates during the recruitment process. These checks must be completed before you are able to begin working with the Cotton On Group.
Do you accept resumes from employment agencies?
The Global Talent Team is a team of industry specialist recruitment consultants who source candidates directly from the marketplace through a variety of recruitment strategies including advertising.
We do not accept resumes through an agency for any vacancy.
Can I do work experience with the Cotton On Group?
Unfortunately we do not currently have a work experience program. We are considering whether this is something we may be able to arrange in the future and if so, this will be advertised on our Careers site. At this point in time we do not accept applications for work experience however we do run internships and graduate programs as below.
What internships do you offer?
We have internships in product development, graphic design and visual merchandising. All internships are advertised on our Careers site as they become available. Unfortunately we cannot accept expressions of interest for these internships due to the volume of interested applicants. Please keep an eye on the site for details of when these are open for application and how to apply .
Do you have a graduate program?
Yes! We currently run graduate programs each year. Details of these are advertised on our Careers site as they become available.
How do I deactivate my account with Cotton On Group Careers?
Did you know you can unsubscribe to any updates by following the steps outlined in the above FAQ which outlines how to stop receiving job alerts or job notifications. This option is great because it means if you decide in the future that you are again interested in opportunities with Cotton On Group, your account will be ready and waiting for you to get applying.
